Medical support is provided by
University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health (UMUCH). There will be doctors, nurses, physical and respiratory therapists throughout the course. In addition, local ambulance companies are providing ambulances at all aid stations.
On the bridge there will be two mobile medical carts that will treat person injured on the bridge and evacuate off the bridge. You should be properly trained and physically able to complete the event. The medical team is there if needed.
There will be a doctor at the start/finish and at the relay point. The other aid stations will have a physicians assistant or nurse, therapist, trainer and ambulance and crew.
The fluid replacement stations on the course will have water and a sports drink. There will also be a toilet
All stations will have race operations and emergency operations communications with the main command post and the two forward command posts.
